This is @zendenyogini harvesting Artemesia from #Karmidanda back in 2012. Here in the west, we know it for its bitter aspects and volatile oils that make it a really useful plant to support digestion and relieve gas. In Nepal it’s called tite pati and has many uses. Most memorable is the recommendation from their herbal folklore to “sit over the heated plant” in cases of diarrhea! This is ban mara, in Nepali, and I would love to know the English or scientific name. A common wild plant across Nepal, #Karmidanda people use it on cuts and wounds. After the #NepalEarthquake I used a poultice of this with ground cinnamon to slow bleeding while patients awaited transport.
